Hello

I run into some problem after upgrading my anet a8 with an bowden setup.

My main issue is that my extruder starts here and there to clicking. Causing the filament not not being pushed. After some experimentation i ramped the temp to 240 and it stops. But it is way to high for the kaisertech pla. Slowing the print down have also no effect. I mesured the temp with my multimeter and the reading are matching with the printers showed temp.

I try to put some spcers to put more presure on the gears but it had also so no effect. Only ramp the temperature have a good effect but cause more stinging and so on.

Somebody an idea and can help me here?

If the extruder stepper is clicking then something is clogged or causing a restriction.
The clicking is the stepper not being able to turn.

If you can get it to extrude at high temps then I’d look at the hot end and nozzle for issues.

Thanks for reply :+1:

I try this option too. I have a Chinese e3d and try some different things. I changed yesterday the heatstop and tip for a new better quality one but no changes there. I calibrate the steps experiment with layer hight dont help either. What i was able to notice is. I have a printed mount for the e3d. It has some play in z direction. Not sure it can be the sorce of my problem.
