I finally got my FFCP running. So after doing a couple of test prints from the SD card, I ended up with jammed filament in both of the extruders. Cheap generic PLA filament going in the trash. It clogged my Duplicator i3 as well no matter what temp I used.

Anyway, after removing the fans from both extruders and removing the nozzles and clearing everything, I was able to get the left extruder/fan back together easily. But I cannot get the two screws on the left fan/extruder screwed into the stepper. There is nothing that has caused it to get out of alignment. It’s as if the screws only have about 3-4 threads available to screw into the stepper to begin with which seems odd. But I’ve spent all day trying to get the screws to catch the threads on the right extruder.

Any suggestions?

Pictures. Look a the white spacers and see that they are in the right spots. Also if the cooling bar is still attached to the gantry then take it off. It will make it easier.

Yeah, I have the same problem on one of my FFCP steppers. Like the threads were bad on it.

Wiggle the hell out of it while trying to get it aligned. Press the parts together really well while trying it.

In the end, on mine, I had to use longer screws with some plastic spacers on the front to get mine tight, like the first part of the threads on the steppers would not let me grab…
