Just built my CTC 2017 DIY Upgraded Reprap Prusa i3 3d Printer and the SD Card reader will not read any cards.
It knows the Card is inserted, but the screen says No Card.
It prints fine via the USB cable to my PC.
Anyone got an idea what is wrong? or what I should try.

Thanks suggy.
Yes I have tried several different cards, also formatted as fat exfat and ntfs.
None were recognized.
My Printer only came with a CD, so I just put my gcode and x3g files on the card but it wont see the card at all.
Could it be the Control Board at fault? if so where could I buy a nw one as I do want ti be able to print stand alone.

Would anyone have an original SD card they could check to see how it was formatted (fat, fat 32, NTFS or what? also capacity)
Also what type of model files were on it.g code or what?
When I put my card in, it says Card Inserted, then when I go into the Menu, it No SD Card.
Thanks

You said it was self built? Is it a single cable or 2?

Hi suggy,
not sure what you mean, do you mean does it have two ribbons from the Display to the Control Board? if so it does, one for the SD and one for LCD.
This is the ebay item I bought,
EBay Item Number 192187557461 2017-3D-DIY-Upgraded-Full-Quality-High-Precision-Reprap-Prusa-i3-DIY-3d-Printer

Ebay number don’t find anything.
Is there 2 10 way ribbon connectors or 1 20 way ribbon cable?

Ok I see from your picture there are 2 cables. Swap them over and let me know the outcome!

HI all,
Just wanted to let you know that I can now print directly from the SD Card reader on my Printer.
I found that if I load my Model in Cura (Ver 15.04) on my PC, without the Printer connected.
Then after it has calculated the time and filament needed, I click on, file, save gcode, and select my SD card to save it to, it works fine.
But it has to be a Micro SD Card fitted to a normal SD Card Adapter.
When I did this, as I said all is OK.
Hope this is of use to others, and thanks for your help.
