Hi all,
I’m having some major issues calibrating the Vector 3, I asked it to extrude 100mm of filament but it only extruded 41mm, does anyone know how to calibrate it?? I have tried the M92 g-code but it dosen’t seem to effect it at all.
Regards,

M92 should adjust the steps per mm Quick and dirty method for adjusting your extruder steps… issue a M501 command - note the number (e-steps) Take number devide it by 41 multiply by 100 to give you a more accurate number. (E-steps / 41) * 100 M92 E92 (replace 92 with actual number) M500 … to store the new settings. The steps per mm should really be calculated out using the motor steps, step angle, micro steps and gears on the extruder for the correct numbers. If the extruder settings are correct and it’s still not giving the correct amount of filament you want to check that your grub screws on any gears are tight and that the filament is not slipping or getting chewed up and also that your stepper motor isn’t skipping steps (may need to adjust current in that case)

Yeah I tried the m501 command in the software that was supplied with the printer but it returned nothing, is there a better software to use??

I have no idea what the controller board that printer is, it may not use EPROM to store settings it might be a firmware adjustment that you may have to do.
When I first set up the printer the instructions had me send the latest firmware to the printer, I had a look though the codes but there wasn’t a m92 code anywhere
Sounds like you may need to adjust the tension on the extruder. I had mine too loose and it was slipping a lot and not feeding much filament as a result. The rough guide was something like; do the screw all the way up and then undo it one revolution. That should make quite a tight fit onto 1.75mm filament.
