I have a CTC Bizer dual extruder with sailfish 7.7 firmware. I’m using Makerbot Print as my slicer.
The problem is the calibration is really off. 20x20x20 box turns out to be 18.3x19.1x18.7.
i have been looking at all the videos and post about calibration, extruder calibration, steps per mm, 100mm extrusion for nozzle… etc
but which on should I do? I want to change the steps per mm but not sure how to change the values? How do I alter the firmware code?
The 100mm extrusion calibration does not work for me… tried it in ReplicatorG and it stops extruding because nozzle goes cold. What is the correct gcode?
Okay so use a different slicer and export the g code download the gpxui from gethub then in the gpx you can change the steroids per min for the printer them run the g code through it and it will save as .x3g and then test
I tried this but gpxui gives me problems. It will translate the gcode to x3g with errors:
(line 12) warning G92 emulation unable to determine all coordinates to set via x3g:140 set extended position

Extrusion length: 0.762 metres
That’s with using CraftWare as the slicer
It’s probably drag on the axis, backlash and loose belts rather than the calibration in the slicer
What slicer are you using?
