I am building a big format 450x450x550 Printer. Do you guys have tips and tricks? I am using the Kraken 4 nozle head. With the Duet board and the duex4 expansion board.

Hej Arnoldas. Txs for mentioning it’s cool. I would like to print just abs and pla. And I would like to experiment with other plastics. The reason why I am building it is to see if I can do it an to print larger objects such as iron man helmets and such.
Bit by bit it’s beginning to look like a printer
Make sure the bed is leveled at all corners.
Bed must be well supported and not moving. Extruder should be moving in the x, y axis. Lower and lift bed for the z axis.
Large objects warp even more, heated bed is highly recommended.
Use 1mm nozzles to print large objects faster.
Are you going off an opensource design? Looks like a cool project.

You told a lot of things correct, the plate seems to have little thickness, but I never used it extruders Kracken your electronics

i am going to be able to ajust the bed on all4 corners,
i also have a costom made heatbed of 760 watt 450x450 mm.
and i am going to try buildtak.
is this nozzle diameter possible with 1.75 mm fillament wire?
Im very keen to watch how this unfolds (im still trying to get the bits together to build a 3D printer) but as someone said the size make it warp a bit as ive heard, and would be keen to see how you do your personal Heat Bed (think i read tiles of a type can be used) Guessing a Head bed is just like underground heating

i got a heatbed and a reinforced glas plate,
i print on the glase plate because it is flat.
the print material sticks to this surface quite well.

Yes, 1 mm works fine. Just fine tune your slicer settings.
Heej guys bin a wile it’s looking more and more like a printer. Discovered that I have to have a better quality guide rods. Any Ideas were I can get 8mm rods 600mm long?
