If anyone has advice on how to stop these little pimples from occurring, I’d greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: Turns out this is due to the host computer not sending data fast enough (or something like that), causing the printer to have to stop and wait for commands. Loading the gcode via SD Card on the printer directly fixed it.
I can relate this to two problems:
One problem is a clog which occurs, filament can’t be pushed through the nozzle so it builds up pressure and suddenly there is enough pressure to push the filament through. Which results in under extrusion (the line before the blob) and sudden over extrusion (the blob).
Or it can be the starting point of each layer, where you maybe need some retraction. (not 100% sure about this one)

In this case it actually has turned out to be some kind of problem with the host computer. Not sending data fast enough, or some USB corruption… anyway, if I load the gcode on to the printer directly via the SD card, it prints fine.
