twoBEars offers a new high-tech filament

The first 3D bio-filament with high performances
plaTec is extremely strong and has a softening temperature of

120°C / 248°F

Printing can be so easy.
The hotend needs 190-195°C and the heatplate 55°C. That’s all !
If you compare the features of bioFila® plaTec vs. ABS, your will discover a number of positiv aspects:
> higher softening temperature of 120°C/248°F
> low level of shrinking
> no warping
> no cracking, even without housing
> nearly invisible layer
> environment friendly and food save material
> easy to print, even for beginners
> made out of renewable resources
> 100% biodegradable With all those features the bioFila plaTec enter in competition with petrol-based plastics and can easily challenge materials like ABS.

And the printed objects are as biodegradable as the same objects made out of wood. Nearly undestroyable but biodegradable!

FINITELY GENERATED: A plastic, you can use with good conscience and which fulfill highest technical requests.

To demonstrate the exceptional features of the material we printed an espresso cup, let it boil in water for some time and immeadiatly after we run over the cup with our Landrover.
IN VAIN - NO DAMAGE !

bioFila® plaTec present the next generation of 3D printing material.

Given their Linen and Silk filaments are really nice I am confident the PLA tec will be good. Two Bears was nice enough to send me a nice big sample and I need to work on putting a video together on my experiences with it after I do some printing! That said the fact that it prints like regular PLA and has high heat resistance without annealing is a bonus.
