Hi All,
I have recently received the BFB touch Dual Head-Clear Case with a 3D-Touch Screen. I am unable to set the Z (Up and Down) axis when printing, at the moment the board comes too high hits the nozzle and a hideous grinding noise follows. At this point I quickly pull the plug (as one nozzle is already damaged due to this). Does any one know why the board is coming too high?
Unfortunatly when setting the Z gap it first goes to the home location (which is too high and thus damages the heads) which means I cant use this command.
Thanks

Hi
First check the height of your z limit switch there is an Allen (hex) screw holding it position sounds like it is set too high.lower it as much as you can then home again. If this works but now the print head is too far away more than 1mm measure the difference and try to adjust the z limit switch up the measured difference once complete in the menu select zlimit height and make minor adjustments which will stored in the firmware.
If this fix does not work then If you have a spare magnet turn on the machine and lower the bed then position the magnet about 25mm lower than the print nozzle but inline with the z limit switch home the z axis by selecting it in the menu with one hand whilst the other is holding the magnet which you then move up towards the switch this will give you an idea of what is happinning. If nothing happens in triggering the z home stop position your limit switch is faulty assuming you have already checked the wires are connected to the breakout board behind the extruders and the main board to the lower rear left of the machine and there is a magnet in the print bed for the z limit switch to sense.
