Hi. I launched my hub maybe…three weeks ago? Not very long ago. Anyway, I have yet to make a sale. I’ve noticed that my average rank has dropped to 11.something (it was around 6.something for a while). I understand that reviews are the biggest influence on rank, and they should be—but what to do if you’ve not got any orders? As I’m sure everyone knows, being on that first page makes a HUGE difference in exposure, as only a small fraction of visitors ever click past the first page. So, given that I don’t have any orders to get reviews, is there any way to improve my ranking? Would posting regular photos of stuff I happen to be printing help?

I’m aware of this thread but that still seems more oriented for people who actually have orders…

Thanks!

For starters, yes more photos of prints you have done will get more interest. The first few photos of your gallery show up in hub searches with your hub so try to put photos of your most interesting prints on your front page. This will hopefully get people to click on your hub page and bump you up the list a bit.

Another factor would be price. Look around on 3dhubs to see what other hubs in your location are pricing their services at. To start you could try pricing your services equally or lower than other hubs. Once you start getting orders and reviews then you could bump your prices up if you wish.

Last thing would to be to keep promoting yourself. Use social media to showcase you latest prints and link back to your hub.

Those things I listed can help but in general patience and persistence is key. 3d printing is still a relatively new thing to many people and are not aware of the 3dhubs. I myself get more orders offsite than through 3dhubs because I use twitter and instagram to show off my prints.
