What is the best way to get better surface finish on a part of a print that is small and is only supported by supports? I have a FF Creator Pro and S3D.

OK, is NO part of the print on the bed? If you are using simplify3d, you can force a particular part of the model to the bed, to anchor it, with “place surface on bed”. This at least creates an anchor point.
The key is to try to get your model to not move so much on the support.
Use a raft with 0 offset to hold your support still, increase your support %, and add about 5 dense support layers.
Also, mess with your support offsets.
Print very slow.
Also in flashprint 3.12.0 you can choose your separation distance in the x,y & z directions between supports and body. The correct distance allows the support to do its job without bonding very much, thus allowing easy separation. Increments are limited to layer heights. I always let it skip a layer before body begins to build on supports.
