Hi everyone, my name’s nick and I’m 14 and would like to get into 3d printing. I’ve done some research and the ender 3d seems to be the best value as i can get one for around £150. I have a couple questions, what sort of pla size would that printer use and how big is the extruder, like what mm does it extrude? Also does anyone know the x,y and z sizes of the printer? I’d like to know this as I’m planning to use cura software. Many thanks!
Nick.
That info should all be on the product page of where you purchase it.

Hey there,
I would recommend watching an assembly video, as the Ender 2 (smaller version of the 3) required the user to use mains wiring themselves, and I wouldn’t recommend someone your age do this personally. The instructions weren’t the most clear and a lot can go wrong there.
It most likely uses 1.75mm filament.
I watched a build video and it appears the most of the main components already come assembled. Including the power supply. Just concerned that some users are having difficulty to get the printer to print nicely using Cura. Would the CR-10 settings work with just changing the build volume to 220-220-250mm?
This would likely work as a base starting point, but all printers require individual tweaking of settings to get those perfect prints
So the build volume for the ender 3 would be 220x220x250?
