Hello all, I’ve been using a Monoprice Select Mini for the past 5 months and have been having issues off and on with it but have finally realized I need to reach out for help. As the title states I’m wondering if the files or the printer are the reason for my failed prints and jammed machine. My biggest issue is that the filament gets jammed inside of the heat sink (this may not be the proper terminology?). I’m printing on a glass bed and have re-leveled the bed to compensate but everything else is stock. I’ve had to take apart the nozzle, throat, etc. a dozen times or so to clear this jam. I’ve replaced the Bowden tube a few times as well and always make sure it is the same length as the original. I always print at 200c with a 55c bed temp, and go through a spool of PLA every 2 months. I had to send the printer back to Monoprice to get a broken wire repaired (wire going to the thermistor I believe) and after getting it back today it jammed on its third print. Is it possible that I’m trying to print bad files? I know they tested the machine before they sent it back so I feel like it’s got to be something I’m doing wrong. The last file I printed which caused the jam was one I sliced using AstroPrint and the original file was pulled from Thingiverse. I only slice with AstroPrint since it’s so easy for me to understand, and the vast majority printed fine. For designing my own things I use TinkerCAD. I’m hooked on 3d printing since I got this printer, but am considering buying something more expensive to see if it stops my issues. Before I do that though I would really like to get some input from those with a lot more knowledge -
