I’ve been getting very inconsistent prints. Sometimes everything goes fine, other times whole layers get missed out. It’s definitely a printer setting, not a slicer or firmware setting.
Move just taken my calipers to my filament, found that in places it’s 1.40mm thick, others it’s 1.80mm. Could this be causing my problems?
Possibly. I would try it with quality filament, I use IC3D filament, they make good quality filament. Also, posting some pictures would be helpful to figure out the problem.
Or if you could let us know what printer you are using. Maybe someone with your printer had the same issue.
Thanks for the replies, I’ve tested the printer with some samples of decent filament, works perfectly now! Just shows what a difference it can make.
