I noticed a hunk of plastic on the table where I print. Not unusual around a 3d printer right? But this was my left rear side leg on my FF Creator Pro. It just crumbled apart!! What the heck. I have only had the thing a little over 3 months. Have not even moved it from where its at since I bought the thing. Anyone else have this happen? I then check the rest of the legs out and the right rear is cracked and soon to fall apart as well. What the heck.

Hi @jimdigs what do you mean by the “legs”? My FF Pro hasn’t got separate legs as such, they’re part of the metal frame in one complete piece…

What model and how old. This make no sense since the new FFCP’s are all metal with rubber feet on the corners. Maybe a pic.

If yours happens to crumble apart you will notice that the very bottom where its bumpy is rubber connected to plastic. It all busted apart. I’ll have to get a picture.

I just bought it this Aug. The rubber feet are connected to plastic and the plastic broke apart and the rubber and plastic just fell out. I’ll try and get some pics but I can’t lift the printer for a few hours as it is printing right now. I can show the broken pieces. I did not do this. It has sat in the same spot since I unboxed the thing.

Ok, now I see. Looks like it was dropped or damaged in shipping. About the only action is to contact where you got it.

Yeah, looks like shipping damage to me; I can’t lift mine right now, but from what I can see all my corners are solid with no signs of any cracks, etc. The part with the crack on it in your photos is metal on mine, so it must have taken one heck of a knock…

Mine is plastic. Did I not get the newer version? I thought I was given the 2016 model when I bought this back in Aug.

No, you got the right one. I double checked mine and it is the same. Got it confused with my QIDI.

Now I’m confused - the “frame” of the printer on mine is definitely all metal - magnets stick to it, certainly the part that appears cracked in the third photo is metal for me…

I thought mine was metal since my QIDI is. But looking at it the outer front, back and sides are indeed plastic. There is a metal frame though.

How long have you had yours? I bought mine in Aug. did I get ripped off? Are the new ones supposed to be all metal, frame and body?

I’m wondering if I received an older model when I bought mine in Aug. I thought I was getting the newest version. Is yours newer?

I got mine back at the start of June, from these guys in the UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LC6NVXO

However, there’s no mention in the description of the metal frame being different, only that it’s different from the old wooden frame. I’ll admit, I’m still not sure which bits you’re seeing as plastic; I’ll take a photo and identify which bits are metal on mine…

Only part of mine that is metal is the frame. The entire outside of mine is plastic.

The “2016” version is the one I have. One way to tell is the door is hinged on the left side and not the top.

The two side panels and the front and back exterior panels are plastic attached to the metal frame. I knew my side panels were plastic but thought the front and back were metal until I checked. They are plastic also that bolt to the frame.
