Two years ago back in 2015, we bought an ARTEC 3D Scanner EVA , a handheld scanner, to work with it in our company. Unfortunately, we closed down the company and we no longer need it. We NEVER put it to use, and only opened the box and tested it twice, just to make sure it’s working. It has no signs of wear/use, and is still in its original packaging.

Artec 3D manufactured two types of models for the EVA device; the EVA Lite, the one that doesn’t process textures, suitable for rich geometric shapes and quite affordable, and the EVA model, that DOES process textures and is generally more powerful than the Lite. We are in possession of the later, the EVA model.

The Artec Eva is the fastest structured light handheld scanner offered by Artec and is designed for capturing a huge amount of data from large objects quickly. The scanner processes 2 million data points per second with an accuracy of 100 microns using structured light technology. It is lightweight and portable with USB connectivity for data transfer and an optional battery pack. The Eva was used to scan Barack Obama for the first ever 3D portrait of an American President.

Artec Eva features

This 3D scanner is light (0,85 kg), fast and versatile.

The Artec Eva uses the structured light technology to 3D scan a wide variety of subjects and their textures (colors): objects, mechanical parts, people, vehicles and environments.

The 3D scanner Artec Eva has a very interesting price to performance ratio and can be used for various uses cases such as reverse engineering, body scan or museum conservation.

It is recommended to buy this 3D scanner with the Artec Studio software suite. Artec Studio is a powerful tool for an optimized 3D scanning process. This software is capable of aligning, stitching and repairing 3D scans.

Battery Pack

The battery pack for Eva means that you can scan for 6 hours uninterrupted, without the need for an external power supply. This is a great option if you need to scan outside or in difficult locations.

Powerful hybrid geometry and texture tracking and capture

Eva is able to read both the geometry and color of the object being 3D scanned. As a result it collects two sets of data by which to track and to perform post-processing.- Easier, smoother 3D scanning

  • Faster post-processing
  • Achieve best possible results with geometry and texture data combined
  • Scan even large, featureless objects using color differentiation
  • Option to scan with targets

The Artec Eva is a fast, affordable and easy to use 3d scanner perfect for capturing medium sized objects for applications such as heritage, medical and industrial manufacturing.

It is the market leader in hand held 3d scanning, simply take the scanner out of the case, plug in and start scanning without the need for sticky targets, pre-calibration or any other unnecessary time consuming set up.
3D Scanning is extremely fast, with a 536 x 371mm capture window and with the ability to grab 16 frames per second, large objects can be digitised quickly and easily. The object is stitched together in real-time, frame by frame on the screen allowing the user to see exactly what they have captured as the user moves around the object being captured.

Full colour texture creation allows for a new dimension in 3d scanning useful in CGI, museum and fashion applications.

Most of the price of the Artec is actually the software. Is that included, and what is the asking price?
