I’ve been FDM printing for years, i’m now outsourcing SLS prints but and am trying to weigh up if an SLS printer will work for us here.
We print all kinds of parts that we sell to ad value to our core products, which are Rugged devices, so we’re printing all the time.
I have particular interest in the Sinterit Lisa 2, seems small enough, the build size is probably what we do anyway when outsourcing small orders. I’m put off by the potential post finishing work that we might have to do, the accuracy of the parts and also can anyone shed any light on just how much powder you can re-use and thus give a rough “per chamber/print” cost?
Do Nylon prints need to be waterproofed in any way? We’re only making stuff that needs to be weather/rain proof for a few years.
SLS seems to be where FDM was like 7-8 years ago in the desktop/bench top world. So exciting!!
Any help appreciated
