hi i really need your help. i bought all 90 issues built the printer followed the instructions to the letter and the printer is almost impossible to connect to my laptop. i know its not my laptop as all my drivers are up to date and its a some what powerful laptop. as the printer installs its drivers to my laptop something goes wrong and i get a device error message. i then delete anything the printer started to install plug the printer back into my laptop and the same thing happens. i continue to uninstall everything and try again multiple times. the printer has now connected to my laptop i start up the 3d create & print. i connect the software to the printer then i try to configure the height i get it close but for some reason the printer becomes unresponsive and i have to shut everything down. when i start everything up again its the same thing i get a device error message i keep at uninstalling and reinstalling i get the printer connected then it becomes unresponsive again. anyone have any ideas because at the moment i have a very heavy and expensive paper weight.

What operating system? Win 7, Win 10? Mac? First thing is if you are having to uninstall and reinstall that much then you have bigger issues and probably compounding them by doing this. You should install the drivers/software with the printer disconnected. Then plug in the printer and power up and it should be detected and the driver install finishes and sets up a port.
I would start with these things.
Make sure you have the correct and latest drivers and software specifically for the board/firmware you are using.
Make sure your USB cable is no more than 1 meter and no hubs, extension etc…
Try different USB ports such as USB 2 or USB 3. One of my printers gets fussy when on a USB 3 sometimes.
The printer does not “install” anything. It simple “activates” you might say, the software/driver to finish its install once connected.

hi wirlybird im running win 10. i have the 3d create & print installed. i haven’t seen anything else that i have to download and install. the problem is my computer says device error in connected devices. if the printer isn’t installing anything then could it be win 10 malfunctioning with the printer. my printer will connect sometimes in USB3. im using the USB cable that came with one of the issues i have no hubs or extensions. as for the firmware im not sure. i wouldn’t have a clue my laptop is telling me everything is up to date but it could be the wrong one for the printer. by any chance would you know what firmware i should be running. thank you for your help. anything else you need to know just ask

Have you done the firmware upgrade? If so thats what could be the issue. I have been commissioned by Eaglemoss to help in these forums.
