Well, here is the short, bought one a year and a half ago, from ebay…Yep big mistake, ebay would not enforce the one year warranty, nor could I get any replacement parts for the printer. So, I purchased a MKS Gen V1.4 Board to do a replacement. I have identified most of the needed connections, will have to sort out the end-stop leads, no problems there. However, the big hold up is identifying the connections used for the HBP-Therm inputs and the two extruder Fans and the display ribbon cable connections, not sure how those are identified on this particular board except for the display…I think I just need two headers and split the ribbon cable. ANY help making the switch will be GREATLY appreciated. any help out there?

You’re going to need to look at the schematics to figure out the wiring. Mightyboard schematic is available on thingiverse.

Your biggest issue to solve is that your CTC has thermocouples on the extruders but that board wants thermistors. They are incompatible.

Interesting since they use “Like” controllers. I will definitely have to check out the schematics. I wish there was more information on the MKS Gen V1.4, its supposed to be open source but, not a whole lot on the net about it that i have found (no schematic, just connection labels). I have figured out that the control lines for the two extruder cooling fans are not set up the same, as the extruder 2 is D11 I think, has the driver/buffer onboard to handle it, while the pin for the Extruder 1 fan, is D6, one of the servo lines. I may find a logic relay to handle that fan, just keep it simple. I will pull together all the documentation and post it once i have it all set up. Thanks for the heads up about the thermocouple vs Thermistors. Any other ideas?

Ebay might not enforce a 1 year warranty but if you paid via Paypal or credit card they will usually open a case for you.
