Hi Guys,

I have just joined to this forum as I recently built my first Anet A8 3D printer and now I have stumbled upon a rather strange problem that I cannot find a solution anywhere.

Once I have assembled everything it was time to first start it up and use the home function locate the homing position of the printer which worked fine. I then leveled the bed as per instructions on the video, however when I selected Home All for the last time the printer homed Z axis and Y axis without any problems, whereas the X axis went all the way to the end stop sensor and seemed like it wanted to carry on going.

I have attached 2 videos, one where it was homing all axis perfectly fine and then the second video is where I try to manually position the X axis and it only kept going to the left no matter which button I have pressed. (on that video I may have gone a bit overboard with pressing the buttons a bit…frustration got to me :D)

Homing all no problems:

To rectify the problem, at first I thought that it could have been the endstop sensor so I have just quickly swapped it over with the z axis sensor and unfortunately no joy, still kept doing the same thing. I plan on also checking the motor itself and will swap it around with the Y axis motor to see if it could be the motor by any chance once I get spare 5 minutes, but in the meantime if any of you guys have any suggestions or solutions it would be very appreciated.

Can’t wait to get my hands on this printer once this issue is resolved.

Thanks in advance
