Hi everyone.
im pretty new at this but yesterday i built my anet a8 printer and have spent all day today trying to get it to print properly with no success. ive tried putting marlin on my printer to attempt to see if that would fix it but im still at the same point. This is what it looks like when printing https://imgur.com/a/9sFHu they Y access seems to not move properly. and i cant move it back using the controls its just stuck in the front.
Your nozzle is too high and its printing too close to the edge of the bed.
Move your model towards the centre and check the height of your nozzle again.
It should only be the thickness of a piece of paper away from the bed.
In the longer term, you need to check the settings in your printer and slicer software to match your printer.
