Hello! We’re hoping to find a firm that could help with modifying an existing model we have slightly so we can get the item 3D printed.

We have two tasks which we’d like to have completed to the same model.

The first task is to embed our company’s logo on this model. We have the logo files and we’d like to “transfer” them onto it (file titled “parametric_rightside_dd02_rev01g_08-01-16.stl”).

The second task is to “blow out” the material on this same model to leave a “U” shaped opening where a circle exists today (see file titled “removal_of_material_on_parametric_right_skin.png”).

We are a small business and do not have a CAD modeler on staff. We’d also like to emphasize that the model being modified and eventually 3D printed is NOT part of a gun. The part is considered a “skin” used with SIMULATED weapons in virtual reality training systems. Our company designs and manufactures human motion-based virtual reality training devices for professional trainers. You can see more information about our company at www.serioussimulations.com.

If your firm is interested, please provide quotes on the cost to make the modifications requested above.

We’re also interested in working with someone which can both make the modifications and 3D print the item (and other items not requiring modification) as well - include a quote on the cost to print the item in a BLACK Duraform EX material (or equivalent, as long as the material is black in color).

Thank you!

Hey @Andrea_38, if you go to our Start a 3D Print page, you can enter your location and then click on the ‘More Filters’ tab to drop down a menu of services that hubs may offer. Select ‘Can help with 3D modeling’ and that will show you hubs in your area that can help you with translating your designs to 3D. Choose a hub that looks good to you and you can begin discussing your project with them.

I assume from your profile that you’re in the Orlando area, so I’ve gone ahead and done the search for you.

Good luck

Thanks @Asad3D! I’ve contacted a few from the search query you created for me. Appreciate the help!
