Hello,

I just finished my A8…and the Hot bed will not heat up…

Checked around and found a possible solution on Gearbest…D4 LED on mainboard should be on, mine is.

I checked voltage to hot bed 12.5v at the connector and to the bed…R1 is getting 10.5v, D2 is getting 1.9v as is D1. The LED is on for the bed and the temp. sensor does work(rubbed my fingers together and placed it on the sensor and it went up a couple degrees C.

Beyond that not sure what else to try(not very familiar with electronics)…any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, check the resistance of the heated bed, it should be around 1Ω Maybe you have a broken trace inside the bed (open circuit -> no current flow so the bed will not heat up ) Ps: to check the bed resistance you have to disconnect it from the main board

why all of you buy A8 and not A6?

A6 has a led on the bed which lights when is heating. If it is not on when u have 12V on connector then the soledring of the connector on the bed is broken (resolder it) or the resistance on the bed is broken > replace the bed. If the LED is off when you have 12 V, than the cable or connector is broken, replace it.

Even the a8 has the led on the heated bed, the eletronics is the same, the only thing that change is the frame and the knob instead of push buttons If the heater trace is broken the led on the heated bed can still turn on…

it is what i wanted to say: if the led is on and not heating > replace the bed
