Hi all,
I’m having issues here with my printer, when I turn on the printer everything is fine, but once I start to heat the “hot bed” via the LCD screen options the LCD screen fades, backlight still fine but you can’t make out the text (tilting your vision to a very tight angle you can see some text still but very hard to make out) the bed does not heat, and the sometimes the machine can completely shut down, LED off on DC power unit, Power switch goes off. Now this only happens on the bed heating, all other things work, hot end pre heat, all axis movement, only happens when the heated bed is turned on, I still get a LED on the hotbed, but it does not heat up, or is doing so so slowly that the few minutes I leave it on, before IU have to power down. If I can read the LCD from a weird angle and turn off the Bed heating the LCD screen returns to normal, and everything is visible.
Any Ideas here folk? I’m new to the 3d printing world and this is really putting me off them atm.

Sounds like the bed is shorted out. Check all connections for loose or broken wires. Also frayed that could be grounding out. Could also be a power supply issue.

Ok, Thats the way I was thinking, I’ve ordered a new Power supply, and will start replacing/checking all wires, And I will keep this open and pass on any new info when I’ve done these checks, Thank you.
