Recently I started a project in the classroom where my students did an art project where they made robots with water color paints. Then we 3D printed a battery holder/switch so we could put a circuit on top of the robot. You can read more about it on my blog at clarkbarnett.com. I would love to hear what anyone else is doing in their classrooms.

Great blog! Taking the painted robots as a base and then customize them with 3D printed parts is a neat idea to get kids interested, thanks for sharing your experience @Clark_Barnett

Really nice idea, Clark! It would be great to see some of these prints/ projects these kids are making. Thanks for sharing this!

Hey @Clark_Barnett I’d love to hear more about what you’re doing, it sounds awesome!

@3DSamui is also up for some real great stuff for the students. He’s teaching students to make their own printers!
I find this really inspiring.

That is incredible! I will check out @3DPrintAcademy. Maybe he will inspire some of my students too.

Awesome idea! If your students are into minecraft - http://www.printcraft.org/ is a cool resource to get some of their stuff thats been created printed - could be a potentially cool learning experience.

Hi Clark!

Yesterday I came across a platform called Ideas Worth Making that collects ideas and some models for educational purposes. Maybe you can get some inspiration or even share your story with those teachers! https://ideasworthmaking.com/

I was just talking to a group about that. They are about to do a report on the California Missions. Many of them are building a mission in Minecraft. I told them to export the files so we can print them. I’ll pass this site along to them.

Hi,

I am doing an important project about the design an educational 3D printer for student.

Could you help me to do the questionnaire?

• Questionnaire: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/562XJHP

It just has 9 questions that will take you few minutes. In addition, can you let your 3~4 students to fill in the questionnaire, too? Because I need different users’ responses.

Your feedback is very important.

Thank you for participating in my survey.
