The world’s smallest Rolls-Royce has just been unveiled at St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, West Sussex. Children slated for surgery will now be able to drive themselves to the operating theatre, in the hopes that young patients’ anxiety ahead of operations will be reduced. The bespoke vehicle has been dubbed the Rolls-Royce SRH after St. Richard’s Hospital.

The Hospital, whose pediatric ward cares for many children with long-term illnesses, is located nearby Rolls-Royce Goodwood home. At the official unveiling, CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said he is pleased with his company’s contribution to the community.

“We are a proud member of the community here in West Sussex,” Muller-Otvos said. “We hope the Rolls-Royce SRH will serve to make the experience for young people during treatment a little less stressful.”
