Hey All,
Does anyone one know if it’s possible to scan and print motorcycle seat and bracket. The seat is about 50cm in Length.
Cheers
Ben
Hi Ben,
it is possible to do both. I have a scanner and a printer that can do both for you. Can you post x-y-z dimensions of the seat. I have a large format printer arriving in a few weeks that could print it in one or two pieces and be joined with a plastic weld all dependant on size. I am located in Brisbane and if you would like to contact me mail me at brad@simply3d.com.au
Regards,
Brad.
Hi Ben,
Yes it is possible. I do the 3D scanning work for an automotive fabrication company on the coast. They take my scans and either alter them in CAD software or send them straight to the CNC machine to produce carbon fibre or fibreglass parts. The same scan could be 3D printed, it’s just a question of the properties you’ll need in the finished part. Drop me an email at christie@tailor3d.com.au. I use an Artec Eva to produce scans which are accurate to 100 microns, so you can be sure it will fit.
Yep. with handheld 3d scanner you can scan even the whole motorcycle, and yes it’s posiible to print 50cm lenght object.
Like Tailor3d I also use Artec Eva for this purpose.
