I am a student studying product design at Parsons the New School for Design.
My project was to design a sofa that can be stored away and I have decided to rethink upholstery so it can be 3D printed. I have been designing a modular sofa that can be taken apart and created into an wall piece when not being used. (I have attached current renderings. Not the final form)

Because of how much the filament is going to cost me I am way over my budget for my project.
Long story short I need 60 pieces 11.5 inches by 4.4 inches in PLA. I am really honored that Printaworld Brooklyn agreed to team up with me on this project. (Go show them some love) https://www.instagram.com/printaworld3d/

I need 80 pieces that are 5.75 inches by 4.4 inches in TPU. I have to figure this one out on my own.
My biggest challenge is that I need a large print of 23inches by 22inches and only have access to one printer. It is a long print and I need it all printed by May 4th so I could get a chance to be in Industry city Design week or have it ready for my critique on May 6th. If I dont make it by may 4th it is okay but would love to make this a dream come true. I am way too deep into this to turn back now.
I am seeking for help on anyone that knows a company or someone with a print area of 23inches by 22inches. Or even someone that could help me 3D print flexible TPU.
If I do get this done by design week, I will give them a big shout out and include their name on my project.
I have uploaded pictures of my prototypes and what my sofa would look like. It is still currently in development and will update this as I go.

This looks like an excellent project and Eugene is an excellent guy. He drove to my house to deliver the prints for the kids doing a game design challenge just do they would have the work in time. He is committed and kind. Let’s help make his dream come true!

Sounds like an awesome project Eugene, can’t help you out unfortunately (in Australia) but I hope someone can and I’m looking forward to seeing the final outcome!

Cheers

Andrew
