I recently bought a Creality Ender 3 printer. I just finished printing this object and it has come out with defects on the surface.

What could be the cause of this. Is something miscalibrated or is this just what you get with a £200 printer.

That looks like extruder over or under extrusion on at least one axis.

Have you printed a 20mm calibration cube? These take almost no time to print and, with a micrometer, you can tweak the printer’s settings to under 10 micron accuracy. (Sometimes. )
