Hi was hoping someone might be interested in scanning and printing a nude woman for me as a prototype. It would be a standing full length model of 120mm in a material that I can make a resin cast from. Please let me know if you are willing and how much it will cost. If that isn’t how the hub works could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks regards Terry.

Hi Terry, I don’t think, that there are many hub owners that would volunteer for being the model. Scanning and printing, however has no limitation in that regard (at least for me). Since you said it’s just about any nude female model you might want to concider just taking a model from Thingiverse.com or youmagine.com. Those models will be alot cheaper, compared to the additional scanning that has to be done. If you found a model that suits your need I’d be glad to welcome you on my hub to print this: www.3dhubs.com/siegen/hubs/marius Additionaly you don’t have to care about the privacy laws etc. when scanning somebody. (you’d have to buy the actual file, and ask for the permission to print this and there are maybe even more laws to surpass, to do this all legally). Hi Terry, I’m located in Germany and ship worldwide. Please contact me privately (via my hub) to get a price estimation, since I don’t want to discuss pricing publicly. I also got some special offers regarding the shipment cost, but more on that via an enquiry or even an order. I can however tell you, that it would be no problem for me to print such a statue in regards of the build volume (heigh) and required level of detail. I’ve got basic material colors in stock, but can get others, ie skin color (beige) upon request. I’ve already printed statues so there should be no problem with that. Beside this you might be interested in the fact, that I don’t only offer normal 3D printing plastics, but also special materials, like blends with metal (bronze, copper and brass) which can be polished to look like a metal casting. Not only metal, but also wood and bamboo composites are available on my hub. Lastly there are also materials with clear to milky optics, matt or glossy appearance and tinted translucidity. If you want to have something very special I do even offer copper coating, which creates a 100% copper (no material blend, but pure copper) surface on the printed object.
