Hello all,
I couldn’t seem to find much as far as definitive pricing structures for 3D Modeling services. Of course it is very subjective and pricing will vary depending on the project/designer’s experience. I’m wondering if anyone has knows of a generally accepted structure as far as quoting per hour/job. Also, what may be some guidelines that would apply to different design requests.
Thanks!

I guess you’ll find everything from 40€/h to 10€/h, the most crucial price factor is, if you are talking to a company or to someone, that does 3d modeling as a hobby. Additionally there will be huge differences (also in quality of the model) depending on, if you find someone that is experienced with 3d modeling for 3d printing, or not, as there are some special things to keep in mind when modeling for 3d printing.
The last big difference is, whether you want something technically, meaning a model, that consists of basic shapes like squares, cylinders etc, or if you are looking for character or face modeling, basically anything arbitrary.
Thats a huge difference as it requires a totally different skill set and it’s very rare, that a hub will offer both kinds of 3d modeling.
You can browse for local hubs, that offer 3d modeling, and just ask them, if they could model your project, and what they charge per hour.
3dHubs is mostly about 3d printing, not 3d modeling. While 3d modeling is still very important, it’s not yet so popular on 3dHubs (meaning only a few hubs offer modeling). I’m pretty sure that the 3dHubs admins are working on that, but for now, you’ll have to look around for the best hubs and prices by asking them.
