Thank you 3DHubs and customers! I just hit 100 orders last week! I have actually been too busy post the day of. I was thinking of making a 100+ 3DHub order trophy. Anyone interested in printing a trophy for yourself at 100+ orders?

Now I’m a 3Dhubs “Professional”, gunna be a little while to the next level!

Congrats, Brian, keep up the awesome work!

Congrats Brian! Our hub is almost halfway to where you’re at. I’m sure the remaining 50 will happen very quickly, so I know that we’re definitely interested in a 100+ order trophy design to print

Awesome! Yeah I’ll see if I can whip something up this week.

Hey Brian,

Great work. I’m heading for my 100 too and would love to see some trophies!

Congrats Brian, well done!

Any tips on getting there? I seem to be getting a ton of views but nobody interested in ordering.

Possibly just no interest in 3d printing where I live.

Hi Marshall,

A couple of things I noticed on your hub. Try and add some pictures of different coloured resins and prints to appeal to more people. Check the 3D printing trends reports to see which colours people go for. In the about us section try and be more personal. It reads a bit like a resume. I also noticed that you don’t offer to print invoices or do local pickup. Both are easy to do and you’ll appeal to more potential customers.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the more orders you have, the more you will get. The only thing potential customers can see is your number of reviews so make sure you ask for a review on every order. Finally, keep an eye on the forums and offer your services, give advice and help people out. You really need to work at it to get your first orders and then it starts getting easier. Toronto is huge so you should have no problem.

Cheers,

Marc

I aspire to reach that level some day, 3d printing is my passion and although I don’t make a ton of money off of it I love inspiring others around me to continue to innovate the world around us using additive manufacturing as a tool.

I think a trophy would be really cool, something to look forward too!

Here’s a couple of screenshots with the 100 Order Trophy. I’ll start doing some test prints tomorrow.

My thought behind this was it would be somewhat challenging to print, Maybe using some support. The base is 2 parts to print the upper half at an angle then attach it. Reducing the need for support. it also looks nicer. I figured this would be something a 100 Order hub should have the skills to print.

I don’t own my own business, so how do I print invoices? I have to check the box that says I’m a business or entrepreneur and enter my business information.

Only 15 more to go for me. Maybe 3D Hubs should have a trophy designed and send us the STL when we reach the goal. Just a thought for @filemon and @gabriela3d

Good idea!

I did a mock up of a trophy last night. Did you see the screenshots?

Congrats Brian!!
