Hi,
Ive had the CTC printer a six months now and am loving it - i have about 500 hours on it so far! Apart from one thing - trying to get spares!
The two things Ive not been able to track down are the smooth feed throats (every one i can find has a threaded outer), and replacement nozzles.
I can find plenty of nozzles that fit and work to some extent, but I can find none where the teflon throat liner goes down into nozzle in the same way as the original ones did, with an M6 thread. Plenty about with an M7 thread but none with an M6 thread.
Does anyone know where to source these parts?
The smooth feed throats and the threaded ones are identical however the threaded ones are for the original makerbot replicator dual, the smooth ones are just a different version. The threaded ones will still work fine, and for nozzles I thought that the Teflon tube will fit any nozzle, especially a Chinese replica 3D printer because the parts are easily sourced.
Thanks for all the responses.
I managed to find a supplier that does M6 nozzles in the mk10 design. All the other M6 ones that I have found (and tried) dont allow the teflon tube to fit down into the nozzle.
I found them at MK10 Nozzle for 1.75mm or 3mm filament - RobotDigg.
Out of interest, is it worth swapping to the all-metal hot end that Micro-Swiss make, and is it a simple procedure to swap them over (i.e. no drilling or anything)?
