I’ll likely get a lot of disagreement here. I don’t like the wanahoo printers. A P3 steel with or without lead screw is close on cost, performs the same or better, and is way more customizable.
looks interesting, sure would be nice to not have the control box, it is a pain when I am working on the printer, I have considered cutting the cable and putting a big connector in there.

Agreed, no control box is a big improvement and I must say the touch screen is something I was waiting on!
I wonder if the normal i3 can be upgraded to a touchscreen…
Hi @RSpencer !
I posted this where you told people about the $25 discount from wanhaoUSA!
I’m not sure if you have purchased already but we are a Wanhao distributor and have a 10% promotion running on the i3 right now which would get you down to $360~USD.
I’ve created a 10% coupon right now, the 7th of June to expire on the 14th of June just for 3D hubs specific to this post.
The code that anyone can claim is 10for3dhubs.
Wishing you the best!

Hi Mason,
I actually decided to upgrade my V2.1 to the new Di3 PLUS. Thanks for the offer anyway though!
Best,
Richard
Hi @RSpencer
I’ve had a conversation with my Wanhao rep. Apparently the PLUS starts being sold on the first of July. She has said that I could have access to a model earlier for $499 which is available for shipping THIS WEEK. I believe there’s only the one model available for shipping.
If you’d like to take me up on this send me an email at mason@beautiful3dprinters.com !
Best Wishes,
Mason

Hm, possibly but something tells me that it would be expensive enough to justify just grabbing the Di3 Plus haha
ya, since then I have found out that the plus uses a newer updated board, so you would have to upgrade the board and the LCD, and the plus is only $100(CDN) more…
