Hii There,
A friend of mine has a Vertex 3D printer from Velleman which I helped him assemble.
After some issues like a broken shaft for the Z axis and stuff, I managed to get it running (sort off)
But when I try to print something, the printer head moves in the right way, but the Filament is not getting placed down.
Also when I try to unload the filament, it says “unloading filament” but it does not do anything.
How can I fix this?

Did you try manually moving the extruder motor via software “Control Axis → Extruder”? If that doesn’t work as well, then you could check for

Thanks for your reply, but when I try to move the Extruder motor, it does move… sometimes…
It is quite a weird scenario.
When I manually move the extruder motor, it sometimes doesn’t work, but when I take a break, and comeback, it magically does.
but then when I try to print, it doesn’t move anymore.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to the printer until Friday.
I would contact Velleman. Sounds like a broken stepper/driver.
I will first check if the voltages are correct, and else I will contact Velleman.
Heres a status update:
the filament got stuck in the print head, and I can’t get it out.
grabbing a pair of tweezers and trying to pull it out doesn’t work, so there is somekind of blockage inside of the head.
how can I clear the blockage?
It has happened to me a few times, always with the same filament (my clear filament).
The reason (atleast for me) is that when the filament when pulled back for unloading it leaves a thin string in the tube. When loading filament after that the string gets clogged just before the nozzle and wont get heated to melting point.
I fixed it by disassemble the nozzle assembly, remove the stringy filament that stopped new filament, assemble and make a new “load filament”.
