Last week, our integration with Tinkerplay was celebrated with a robotastic contest!
Using the Tinkerplay app people unleashed their creativity and have built all sorts of customizable robots that can be 3D printed. Our Team started playing around with it by building everything from Two sworded samurai made by @gabriela3d , @Robin3D’s warrior robot to Simona’s incredibly scary spider beast.
This cube-headed robot + Scorpio hybrid among other designs like a four legged , drill and axe wielding sand beast or a plant robot that is ready to eat you were the winners and are expecting their awesome creation to be printed soon!
Thank you everyone for participating in this contest and keep on building! If you have built something with the Tinkerplay app make sure to use the #3dhubsxrobot and share your creation with everyone!
there was a 3dHubs contest to guess how many marvins were in a bowl, this was tweeted during the 2nd anniversary i guess. Did you claim a winner and if so, what’s the price? I’ve checked the 3dHubs twitter profile and there’s nothing said about it.
PS: where can we download those models, I guess there might be people that want to print those. I’m currently too busy with orders and other projects, but I might print a robot later, so a link would be perfect.
Good point! I’ll announce the winner today. Stay tuned! And for the Marvin Ring :
Filemon just posted it on talk: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs You can download it from Sketchfab. I’ll make sure to upload it to Thinigiverse as well later today
Great stuff, @derKarsten! I especially like the plant. Now, THAT is really creative!! Not sure I saw many of the other entries. Were they all on Instragram? I’ve only been monitoring Twitter. Oh! And mustn’t forget! Loving your pink ballerina. We have a future Walt Disney in our midst!!
