I am the curator of TEDxDubai and I am working on a super short notice on very cool Salon event during Dubai Innovation Week which will take place at Al Serkal Avenue outdoor space on Nov 28th from 6 to 10 pm.
It will be heavily about Makers, and we are going to print a prosthetic hand for a child in need.
I would like to invite everyone who is listed on 3Dhub in the UAE to come along, bring their printer, connect it and help us create some parts of the hand but also educate the community about the amazing universe of 3D printed solutions and possibility.
All you need is to bring yourself, your printer and computer and some of the plastic filaments, we will offer you a space to connect, and a front row seat to the first outdoor event in TEDxDubai history, 2 amazing speakers, and hopefully a very nicely energy charged evening.
Let me know if you are up for it! email me for more info natascia@tedxdubai.com
Thank you!
Natascia
Sounds like a great opportunity to connect with the Dubai makers! Hope it works out.
Are any of the talks related to 3D printing?
I’m heading down with my Makerbot Mini! Hopefully meet some of you there!

Hi Gabriela, yes we will have a father/son team from E-nable Foundation talking about their journey into creating 3D printed Prosthetic hands and we are inviting everyone to join a printing marathon so that we can assemble some hands on the evening
That’s impressive, @Natascia_Radice! Good luck with the event.
Nice! Let us know how your TEDx experience went down
Cheers!
