If you have more than one good idea feel free to post as many as you like.
This is great, has so many purposes. Would cool if they used it for boxing matches although not sure of the logistics.
I can’t find dimensions of workable model of the GoPro mount (the parts that angles the mount) Anyone? Just the dimensions so I can draw it myself.
Happy you went for a Sketchfab ‘show off’ @mercury, it certainly does the model justice
Love the way you think, Andy Really cool submission, indeed!
@Krumbacher Looking good!
@Professional3D Digital replacement parts built just-in-time do take up less shelf space
@lucibrandus Mouth mount…wow, never seen that before! Very creative!!! When do you suggest using this style mount?
OK! Here we go! Admittedly, I’m not the greatest CAD designer on Earth. Probably not in my street but, hey! Here’s my entry. It’s a holder for the new GoPro that can be used as a Tinkerplay component. I designed the case in Fusion360 ( 45x45x40mm with mainly 12mm fillets minus 35x35x35mm with 7.5mm fillets on 4 sides ) ,exported it to STL, then imported that to Tinkercad and attached some Tinkerplay ends from the library. Aaaaaaand…Voila!!
The original idea was to make it a Tinkerplay head, with big ears, a hipster haircut and a single-lens RayBan Wayfarer. Maybe a nice beard and moustache too, but I couldn’t make it to the Fusion 360 training and would have ended up throwing my Mac out of the window before the design was finished. I’m not sure quite how practical it is, as you probably can’t get to the controls and once it’s fitted, you might have problems getting the GoPro out but I think it’s a kinda interesting concept and it could be a stepping-off point for all kinds of cool “X-pod” designs for the GoPro. Just goes to show how easy it is too. If I can do it, anyone can!
Thought I’d add a Sketchfab link too!
Cheers!

Thought I’d try a rather more practical version. This time with provision for 3 legs and access to the button! Not practical. Just more practical! And no more easy to print!
Cheers!

I am not the best CAD design but I made a GroPro Mount that connects to your T-shirt and It can film while you are walking or running. It is great for capturing video (near to your eyes and like what you see.) Easy to use and great to use while traveling to rare places. It just clips on to your T-shirt and you can use household items to clip on so it does not fall down and off the holder but is is strong and go ahead and print it.

Hey Kev, thanks for entering. Think it would be pretty useful.
I LOVE it!
Thanks guys. You’ve encouraged me to try to address the limitations of my previous designs and I came up with this…
It’s a single component that can be printed twice without support. If the two rings are fitted to the GoPro, they allow access to the button, and allow 3 or 4 Tinkerplay legs to be added. If you want to take close-up vertical videos, you can aim the camera down between the legs, or even wrap the legs around something for a secure mount. I’m still not 100% happy with it but I feel like I’m getting close.
Cheers!

Great idea! Hook it up to a display and it adds a new meaning to the “third eye”
Alright! Here is my entry:
Lego Mount-GoPro Session 4
Pretty cool right?
The best part about this mount is its versatility. You can mount it to:
- Lego Robots: lego robot.jpg 1
- Lego Drones: lego drone.jpg
- Lego RC cars: lego RC car.jpg
- And anything else you come up with!

P.S. Please tell me what you think and don’t hesitate to tell me if you see some flaws I may have missed!
Has been a while, too long. Love it Brainfloat, good to see you guys entering!
Well, just as many others in this contest (For what I believe), I’m not a great designer (yet) in 3D modelling. The following idea I had many years ago, but in comparison with the ‘normal’ GoPro’s, they where a bit clumsy to become that the 4 Session could become ; The GoPro 4 Baby Sessions.
This case provides a hole for a spoon or fork (dimensions for the lemmet max. 20mm by 2,3mm) to attach your Gopro 4 on top of the spoon or fork for funny and cute sessions with your Mini-Me. While your Mini-Me is sleeping and you want to film that, there are two holes on the top of the case for a wire, easily hang up your GoPro for a few hours to make a sleep-timelapse of your child.
At the front, is the Cockpit-cap. A rare and bizar 'nose-cone for a plane, but through the eye of the camera it’s a unique viewing point/angle you’ve never experienced before with a Gopro camera. Place it in front of your case and film it like little creatures discovering a giant baby. Like making your own Toy Story !!
And for your older kids… You can change and share other wings, cockpits and caps to create your own unique ‘Baby Boeing’-cam.
This is GoPro 4 Baby Sessions.
*one of the renders are from my first model, without the detachable wings and cockpit cap, but shows perfectly for what I had in mind. Take a spoon, or take a fork and go…

Love the renders looks great!
Hey Meike, at the end of the day it’s your design so feel free to distribute and share how you see fit.
Thank you… Yes, thanks to a friend I’ve Podium V2 as Rendering software. Easy to use !
Having a bit more fun with the base model, we can now present… GoVision!
Now you can shoot 1st person perspective 3D video without all the hassle of having to physically hold 2 cameras in front of your face
! Caution !
Vision may be impaired during use

Why just Go Pro, when you can Go Stereo? The small size of the GoPro Session 4 makes it perfect for 3D recording, just clip both GoPro Sessions in, attach to a tripod or GoPro mount and press record simultaneously on both cameras for great stereoscopic HD video.
Designed to be printed without supports on both FDM and SLA printers. To use the tripod version you’ll also need a 1/4" nut.
Edit: Having tried the printed version on a real camera some of the dimensions were off so I’ve created version 2 with correct dimensions. I’ve also added versions optimised for bottom-up SLA printers like the Form 1 by creating channels for the resin to flow through to prevent delayering on the base.
PS. Unfortunately we don’t actually have 2 GoPros to make any 3D films, the action shot is just a bit of Photoshop magic

When we will know the winner?
When we will know the winner?
Hi Everyone,
Let me start off by saying a big thank for all the interest shown with the competition. It’s amazing to see all the talented people on our platform showcasing what they do best. The level of the designs has been incredibly high and has created amazement, laughter and inspiration for myself and I feel the community as well. I will now present all the entries to the guys at Proto-pasta and the winner will be announced on Wednesday.
Watch this space for more competitions coming your way, with the reception this one had we will definitely be doing more. Let me know if you have any cool ideas for themes as I’d love your input.
Thanks again,
George and the 3D Hubs Team!
Well, it was also a big surprise… Just 1 month ago I started think again about the case I’ve designed for this contest… It was at the right time and the right contest to put myself behind the desk and make the best of it… I’m a bit curious, do you print the designs also to judge them on functionality ? Like others have said, many (all?) of us haven’t the GoPro 4 Sessions yet and it was a bit of a guess with all the dimensions. I’ve order a print a 3D Hubs and at the moment it is printing or would be printed in a few hours… Sooo curious to have the idea in my hands tommorow
