Steppermotor Extruding

Hello.
I have an Anet A6 machine where I’ve got problems. I have rebuilt my machine to bowden and since my filament feeding is not working. My machine does not feed enough filament, no matter how much I adjust the parameter during configuration. I have switched the steppermotor twice (new motors) and have switched the mainboard. When I start extruding from the Pronterface program, it does not feed enough filaments. I can adjust the extruder parameter to the endless, without feeding more. I hear a sound when I start the feed and this sound end long after the stepper motor has stopped. The higher I set the parameter, the longer the sound is on. I have also found that the sound comes from the Y motor, but this does not go. The Y motor only produces some kind of sound during filament feeding. I’m pretty sure the connections to the mainboard are correct. I have also tried to disconnect all connections to the mainboard, so that I have only left the power supply, the extruder-motor and the temperature sensor to the hotend (the latter is obviously a requirement for the machine to work). Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Check the extruder pressure to the filament and also the feeding multiplier. You should be able to push the filament and see the extruder engines rotate. Not very pressure but more than you actually have. Hope it helps. Else I will keep a eye here

Let’s see if we can solve this issue.

1. Try to move the filament manually through the whole bowden setup. Move it in and out and test if the filament is running smoothly all the way down. There should be no obstacle until it is down the noozle.

2. Do you hear a clicking sound while extrusion? Or is the hobbed gear grinding on the filament? Watch the hobbed gear while extrusion, if the extrudor is clicking or grinding the pressure on the filament is either too high or to low.

3. The most important step after you rebuild your extrudor: recalibrate your steps/mm! Because the hardware is different now, your 3D Printer may need more steps to extrude 1mm of filament. Search in google for “calibrate extrudor” or something like that of have a look at this example how to calibrate it: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-calibrate-the-Extruder-on-your-3d-Printer/

Another hint: while you are searching the cause of the problem, set your extrusion multiplier (flow rate) to 1.0 (or 100%). You can adjust the multiplier for your material after you know it is extruding correctly.

Sorry , mate.

If you changed the extruder and the motherboard, there is no more a Anet A6 printer. So i think you might ask the question elsewhere.

anyway, if you have noise on Y motor when you run the extruder, sure you have a wrong wiring.

Hi guys.
I had also asked questions at Thingiverse, where I received an answer that I followed yesterday. The tip was to upgrade FirmWare into my machine. Until yesterday I had original FirmWare. Yesterday it could seem that the feed started to work again. I still do not understand why the feeding did not work after the reconstruction. This worked when the stepper motor was attached to the Extruder.

have a look at my other answer, I think the steps/mm were set wrong. With the new firmware you now have the default settings for this from the firmware and perhaps these are working for now. But your extruder is not calibrated. It is working perhaps and perhaps the setting is already correct, but at the moment no one knows.

I will, thank you :).
I actually adjusted pretty much yesterday, from 100 to 145. But I will take the job again when I’m going to run filament all the way from the spool to the hotend.

What was a little annoying with the new firmware was that the resolution of the adjustment knot changed. It now adjusts to hundreds of parts.
