It was very much a legit offer: it was covered by a lot of 3D printing news outlets, and I even remember seeing it on their site at some point.
Keep in mind 56 rolls of filament amounts to about $2030. Of course, that’s still an extraordinary deal, where you basically purchased a printer and got enough filament to last several months for free, but it’s not as if you were just spending a few hundred and getting $2k worth of return.
Zortrax is honestly one of most genuine, responsive companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and this is coming from someone who would never personally buy a Zortrax printer (simply because I’m a Reprapper and a tad short on money). If you dig through the 3D Hubs talk pages, you might find a few “suggestion” threads for Zortrax, in which almost every time a representative has responded and passed the suggestions to their development teams. Their print quality is top-of-the-line and IMO it’s well worth the $2k for a Zortrax if you can afford it.
no, it was a real because i’ve bought one with that offer. 7 boxes with 8 spool each and the printer. i had the same delay in info requests, because they had a tsunami of orders.
I ordered the Zortrax M200 when they had their special promo offer. Everything went smoothly with ordering, shipping and receiving the pacakage. I had a few questions before ordering and I got very quick replay.
The printer works great and I feel it is well worth the price.
To be honest, I haven’t met a client that wouldn’t be satisfied with that promo bundle. We have had an enormous number of order so that could be causing lack of response - we are sorry.
Are Zortrax har to reach?
No, we are not. Support cases are being dealt through our Support Form (Support form - Zortrax) or even through Facebook.
Are their customer care satisfactory?
Its not for me to decide, but we are doing our best.
Is it really worth the money to buy that printer or should I use something else? Suggestions?
That wouldn’t be professional to say something about other printers but to be honest - you won’t get that kind of plug&play quality anywhere else.
If you are satisfied with range of materials that we are providing at the the moment, there is no need to look for something else.
I also tried to contact them during the order. But got late answers.
I had order the printer already (second one) and received everything in good order.
Excellent printer.
Filament is worth the extra money but I wish they had a filament return system for all the support plastics. It takes about 1/4 of the filament on average.
I just wondered because I wanted to by your printer by that offer that I got via email.
But I was unsure whether you could ship to me or not so I Contacted you via your homepage well within the time limit for that offer.
But since I got no answer I didnt dare to order that machine. 2000 euros is a lot of money for me.
If you would have contacted me in time I would have been able to buy it, but the answer came many weeks after.
You said you were sorry for the delay but I could not get the offer, even if the original question started well within the time limit.
I don´t know you as a company since I am about to start with 3d printing and got a little curios if anyone actually got that offer.
To sum up:
I got an email with an offer that was great for me but I wasnt sure if you deliverd to me.
I contacted you, and got no answer.
The offer period went out.
several weeks later I got a mail from you that says that you see that I was intrested in that offer but you have had huge problems with your mail so you had been unable to answer me.
But now I dont get that offer. But I can get 10% off, (same offer everyone got day after) and later an offer of 20% with enclosed buying things for those 20%.
I hope to hear from you and we can make something out because I am still interested in buying your printer but I feel a bit cheated on that offer because your mailservice have been out of order.
Hello I’m Cristian, work with zortrax for some time and I have to say that a large very precise printer can make pieces of mechanical and other printers that I use was not possible, if I can give you some advice on printers that are marketing the zortrax is the best depends on what use you make, whether professional or amateur, “hobby” if the answer is professional then you should opt for zortrax.
I hope to be proved helpful.
Hello.
I confirm the offer was very real. We’re a Zortrax reseller and were seriously tempted by it. The offer was only for a short time though.
The customer services is very good, quick and responsive. And there’s lots of helpful information on the support pages and forums.
There was a “bad patch” recently when it took longer than usual to get responses, but that seems to be over now and I notice Zortrax have become much more active again.
And yes, the printer is really worth the money, we have 3 of them which are used all the time, and really we’ve got no plans to buy anything else. It’s about as Plug and Play as you can get for a 3D Printer, with consistently excellent results. For alternatives look at the 3DHubs Trends and Printer guides. Just be clear on what you want to do with the thing and how much you want to tinker.
Not a hoax! I bit and got my 2nd m200 with tons of filament in March. Awesome deal! Their CS is a bit slow but I normally go through Octave3D for repair and other things as they are local to me. My advice is bite on the offers but make sure you have someone to turn to locally for help.
I understand that they had email problems, but they have intrnet shop you can establish user id and password and buy directly.
Re taxes:
where is your home as I’m confused with your tax explanation. Importing from Europe, you are tax exempt. Importing to US you are paying shipping cost and custom charges for shipment, based on Invoice value. Some items are custom tax exempt. If you are comimg to my studio and buying “stuff”, you are taxed 6%, but if you are bying from out of locality through our web request, there is no sales tax. Unless your States is the one taxing you up to eye balls. We need to start where is your home address?
