After unpacking the M200, there was a white strip dangling in the front open space of the machine. It looks like a strip of soldered bits stuck to a plastic strip and contained in a half-tube of silicone. One end is fastened by black tape and then to a series of thin black wires. The other end is just cut with 3 metal prongs.

I have a bad feeling that this was cut during shipment. :frowning:

Usually, they are really efficient and they will probably reply you within today.

@federico3, on a side note, the serial number is located on the back, but I am not sure which number it is.

Is it the one under the bar code on the back of the machine?

That strip is an LED strip, which lights up during printing.

If you just stick it to the frame inside the front face of the case at the top, you should be fine. probably just came off in transit.

Hi Shannon,

This is just the led strip that got loose after assembly, prabably during transport. If the black tape still sticks you can just stick it back on the printer and you should be all set.

Wow! Thank you everyone for the quick responses.

You guys are truly awesome. I am defintely feeling better now.

The strip is just LED lights. Cool.

@sclouston,

the strip is just the LEDs that light up the machine.

Looks like the adhesive tape of the LED came loose. Mine fell off once when it was too warm but sticking it back solved the issue.

Perhaps Zortrax should switch to a more suitable tape but that requires some testing.

All in all don’t panic it’s just the LED.

It is a LED light strip which is supposed to be stuck underneath the front top lip facing down. (The Lip just above the door opening.)

it’s the led strip it’s suppoed to be glued to the top horizontal bar inside

sometime the double face tape get loose, just press it and voila

I may be wrong but that looks like the LED light strip that is in the top front section of the printer. Mine was hanging off slightly at the end but I pressed it back onto the adhesive and it seems ok now. I don’t think it will prevent the printer from working, try contacting your reseller and they can advise on how to make it stick. You may be able to use Velcro strips or something like that as well
