I currently have a flashforge creator pro with a glass bed and loving it, but I’m currently in college and can’t bring it with me. I also want to be able to print at a higher resolution so when I finish college or come home for the summer it doesn’t become useless. What I’m looking for is a small printer that has around a 1 foot square footprint that I can put around a 0.2 mm nozzle on and preferably be able print ABS and as quiet as possible. I’ve been looking for a while now but I keep running into the problem that small printers are cheap and for kids and the ones that are amateur to intermediate are larger than I would like.

Take a look a the QIDI X-one2. I have a couple and I switched on to an all metal hot end with a 0.2 nozzle.
Thanks! That looks like a pretty nice little 3D printer and includes pretty much everything I want. Also, where did you find the all metal hot end?
Micro-Swiss. MK10 is what it should be but you can ask them to be sure.

I am really in favor of the Creality Ender 3, it is relatively inexpensive, it has a huge community for support, and there are ton of mods for it.
If you upgrade to an all metal hot end and throw a cheap DIY enclosure on it you should be able to print ABS, but I would advise against it indoors since ABS does release toxic fumes.

I’ve heard good things about that printer, but its a bit big for what I want.
I would suggest you to get DIY 3D printers which need a slight assembly before printing. However, they are easy to carry and could print even large 3D objects.

I wouldn’t mind a DIY printer, but the only small ones I’ve found so far are the cantilever style and have the bed move which in my opinion make the printer feel flimsy and clunky. Also, the moving bed requires the space the printer needs to be much larger so it doesn’t run into anything and I have somewhat of a space problem.
