I am interested in creating full color high resolution 3D printed objects. As of now the only printers I have found that are capable of doing this are the MCor ARKe and Iris, which stack printed paper. And most recently I heard of sandstone 3D printing. This one I don’t know much about, can someone please enlighten me? I have some basic questions below:

1. What are the top sandstone printers on the market and are any of them desktop printers? Are they FDM, SLA, etc.?

2. How expensive is the filament/cartages?

3. Are they slower or faster than printing other materials?

4. Do they require customized software?

Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I head up the 3D Printing Services department at Microsol Resources. We have a ProJet 660, which prints full color models from a powder composite material with color binder. We can print models as big as 15" x 10" x 8". Visit my hub or email me at 3dprinting@microsolresources.com. Roger
