I’m new in here but I’ve been reading some of your posts. I’ve got a Wanhao Duplicator 4 Desktop 3D Printer. I’ve been struggling to print on the printer, but finally got it going. The only problem now is that my right filament does the opposite of what it has to do. It unloads the filament instead of loading and loads instead of unloading. Any helps Guys.
Sounds like the extruder and drive system is dirty, pull it apart and clean it. When I use my printer and it’s been a while I do a manual load to heat up the extruder and then unload it to make sure the extruder nozzel is cleared out. If you do that then you will have to clean the extruder minimally when it comes to filament.
Connect to printer via replicatorg, find the preferences for extruder stepper, they look like “Invert stepper right” or so. I can make a step-by-step guide, but only when ill get in touch with my machine
I’ve checked the wiring on the motor and they are wired exactly the same on both sides. Which makes me think that, that might not be the problem. You suggested that I could fix it in the code, please inform me how I do this? I think my Slicer is Replicator 2 slicing defaults if not please inform me as to were to look for it. Thanks once again MP
I don’t think that My extruder and Drive system are dirty because this is the first time I use the machine, plus the machine does pull the filament through only when I press Unload on the printer and I can feel it trying to release when I press Load. Thanks for your input DS and much appreciated.
Thanks for all your input and I’ve learned a lot from this in a few days, keep it up. Now I’ve got all the filaments working, my next problem is the printing quality, any suggestions on the settings I can use when printing on the ABS filament and when printing on the PVA Filaments? Much appreciated.
