Hi All,
I recently purchased a CTC Replicator 2 clone from eBay and I am looking to mod it.
I have read on the forums how a number of people replace the X & Y axis linear bearings with IGUS bearings.
What I want to know is if anyone has replaced the Z axis linear bearings with IGUS bearings and if there are any how-to posts about the Z axis?

I replaced all bearing with IGUS exept the Z-Axis since it is moving not that much that it would be a big difference.
But if you want to, just unscrew the upper holders and loose the bottom ones. Then you should be able to clip out the linear guides to the side and replace the bearings.
Thanks. I will give it a go when my bearings arrive.
I did it on mine, but there’s no discernible improvement really.
Careful with the drylin though; I took my Y axis ones out in the end. They caused too much stiction and made the printer not print circles properly.
