Just wanted to let everyone know, We’re going to do a meetup Wednesday, Nov 18th at 6:00pm at Event Horizon Games. We’ll be showing the sorts of things that can be printed for tabletop gaming as well as demoing software for designing 3d models for printing. Come out and show off your prints and talk about printers.
We like to discuss setting up regular Raleigh based 3d Printer Meetup group. Future dates and locations to be determined.

Sounds nice! What softwares are you gonna demo?
I’m going to do basic free software to get people started. 123d Design, TinkerCad, and OpenSCAD.
I’ll have information on several others and will pretty much demo whatever people are interested in
seeing. So software on the table for that would be: Blender, Fusion 360, the rest of the 123d suite,
Sketchup, FreeCAD, Solidworks and Maya.

Yup, all the usual suspects! I’m curious to see which software will be of most interest to the attendees. Anyway, I’m sure you guys will have a nice time, enjoy!
This will be in addition to the 31st event. I’ll be at both events. The 31st event will focus on scanning.
But if you like, I can bring my scanner to the Nov 18th event as well.
