I removed the original tape from the beginning. U can use hair spray, paper glue stick, ABS ‘juice’ (dissolved in acetone), or special adhesion spray “DIMAFIX”

That’s interesting and a cheaper option than the BuildTak sheets.

I did find with a set of oil painters spatulas the thin blades were effective at releasing the builds from the print surface.

I am pursuing the suggestion that the X axis movement shouldn’t repeatedly hammer the end stop when initialising.

I believe the micro switch is contacting the end stop so maybe it is faulty or the wiring is.

push the switch with your finger while homing.

replace the switch

Thanks, but I do think the switch is physically operating as it contacts the end stop and I do hear the switch ‘click’ when I press it. So I think either it is faulty or the wiring is not correct.

Sorted.

The switch was hitting the right piece of the frame but it wasn’t being pushed enough to ‘click’. I think the switch is faulty.

But I have placed a piece of card there which is enough make the switch click and the intialising doesn’t hammer against the end stop anymore.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
