Hello everyone,
Lately I’m encountering a problem with the first layers of my print.
As seen on the picture, the ‘corner’ where the base layer is started isn’t printed correctly.
Does anyone know what the issue could be and what to do?
It happens with all the prints at the moment.
Thanks in advance!
add an addional layer in the Zsuite to the base and top thay may fix the issue I set mine a t 4 layers and I think standard is only 2 or three.

Is this the same corner on the same side of the build platform? Could be multiple reasons. Rotate the print to see if its due to any thermal parameters like drafts of cold air etc. Sometimes the build plate is not completely leveled anymore. How many hours of print do you have? Trial and error usually gives you the solution. The community needs more info than the error itself as there is not always a 1 to 1 answer.
maybe be it necessary to re-calibrate and clean your nozzle no ?

Thank you for the response.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same corner. I will check that now. This print in particular is 5 hours.
I’ve printed quite a lot since I got the printer but the issues are recent.

Depending on the part, since it’s the same corner I will put my money on two possible causes. One more likely than the other. Less likely is due to drafts, but can sometimes happen for long objects. More likely is that your build plate is not completely leveled. It happened to mine after about 700 hours of print. Please check Zortrax’s support site for more details but here is a brief description: Remove all the screws on the plate and clean the small plastic balls underneath the plate. Gently bend the two opposite corners upwards equally and screw the plate back on. Do a manual calibration with a piece of business card. (Auto calibration doesn’t work well for me, your choice)
I forget to add: in order to confirm its your bed being not leveled, go to Maintenance and move the build plate up very very close to the nozzle but not touching it and then switch off the machine. Since the power is off, you can move the print head around with your hands, do it slowly and gently! Move the nozzle to the four corners and center of the build plate and observe any varying distance between the nozzle and build plate. That should give you an idea of what is the cause.
