The printer could print faster, but since Nasa are learning how it operates in micro-g and don’t want it to go as fast as it could until the process is well understood. The first part dimensions are: Length: 2.32", Width: 1.61", Height: 0.20". The print volume is 2.36" x 4.72" x 2.36". That was the space allocated for it on the station that had the necessary connections to support the 3D printer.
