I’m pulling my hair out here trying to use siplify3d and i just cant print from the left extruder. i have found some start gcode for my ctc printer but it either tries to print from the right extruder or tries to print without heating the extruder.
I’ve played around with the gcode and have my printer going places it cant go leaving me wondering how long this printer will last before it breaks.
I have a ebay CTC dual extruder 3d Printer i have the printer running sailfish 7.7
I’ve used someone else’s start gcode before and it was not right because again the printer would try and print before heating the extruder.
I can use makerware 2.4 and print from either extruder `as well as printing dual prints so i know the printer is good.
I just want a simple start gcode for left and right extruder’s so i can use it in programs like simplify3. i’ve tried to use the set up wizard in simplify3d but the only printer i can select is “Other” and ive done that and its missing all the gcode and i cant guess it just like i cant guess your phone number.
so can i have the start gcode for my printer if any ctc owners read this.

I’m a CTC owner, however I use one extruder and I’m using MakerBot desktop. But I know someone who can help you. His name is Chris Donovan and he is the USA Dealer for CTC’s Products. Very nice guy I might add. He can definitely help you out. His number is below.

It should be the same as the flashforge creator dual so use that printer profile for your CTC. Don’t mess with the start/end gcode. In the temperature setting tab, check the box that says Wait for tempt to stabilize. Do this for both the hotend and bed temp. You really should go through the Simplify 3D tutorial before you break your printer.

Customer support is the main reason you pay for the software. You should be able to select replicator dual flashforge creator or wanhao duplicator as your machine type. If you can’t select that, then you have a problem with installation, again contact s3d.
If i phoned the US from the UK it would soon cost me more than the printers worth!

i will definetly one day look into them tuts, but to be honest i bloody hate reading! i know it sounds lazy, but its not. im just better at physical side of things.
S3D has a large library of YouTube tutorials. I hate reading too.

CTC need a forum or a dedicated help site. i don’t see a lot of help for CTC owners.
